Hi Kate! I am in northeast Ohio and live with my hubby, two cats and 5 rescue dogs. I am 56 and taught myself to sew and repair vintage sewing machines in part to help me cope with my mom’s Alzheimer’s which led to her passing 3 years ago. You helped me through some tough times and have taught me to just keep sewing as it soothes the soul. Thank you for being so lovely and fun! You are awesome!😊

I really enjoyed learning this method, hybridized or not, I think it's fantastic and a great way to upcycle and create an heirloom on the cheap.

Don’t laugh but my design wall is a flannel top sheet tacked to the wall.♥️🤪

My heart SOL (smiles out loud) to think of what my Mum; who insisted on close, even quilted stitches: the quilt on a frame, set up in the middle of her living room; would think of our methods of quilting now.

This makes me think of a living painting, in that it’s in the process of become as one eye weighs and measures colors in their positions, the lighting and their interactions with they’re neighbors . Is it harmonies or is there a flash that’s starting to ignite??? Only the artist knows. Thanks Kate for all you do ❤🌷🌷🌷

My design board is a magnetic whiteboard on wheels (the type used in offices). I also can use it as a room divider to hide mess when necessary 😉

Those 'thread bunnies' would be good for inserts for torn jeans. ♡

I love the poly styrene board which you can get pretty cheaply at the home improvement store. A small space solution is a flannel backed plastic table cloth, hung flannel side out, on a wall works pretty well.
